Spent 10 days in this piece of heaven. If all you want to do is dive the most beautiful sites, in a quiet, remote, non comercial resort, this is ideal.
The hotel staff were so welcoming, friendly and warm that it was easy to feel at home here.
The dive centre was very efficient yet in a relaxed manner. Ayman, the guide is a role modle for all in this job, he was fantastic.
Definately going back.

Just returned from 6 days diving with Ayman of Orca Dive Club.

What can we say?

Diving absolutely superb, dive guide brilliant, boat crew brilliant and food brilliant!
The holiday was made for us by the relaxed professional attitude of Ayman, whose briefings were clear and informative, allowing us to make the most of the relataively untouched dive sites.
Swimming with dolphins was the icing on the cake!

Can't wait to go back!

The team from the Orca Dive Club from Hamata is really friendly, competent and I spent wonderful holidays thanks to them. The management is experienced and ready to offer you the best conditions to enjoy your stay. Safety is assured on well equiped boats. Briefings are clear and courses are given in really good conditions.
The hotel is fine, the service is well done and the rooms are clean.
I suggest to swiss tourists who are addict to chocolates (as I am) to take some with you.

We spent a great week at Zabargad Dive Resort at the end of May 2009. The Orca Dive Centre was excellent, professional, relaxed and above all, friendly. Brett got 11 dives in 5 days, excellent visibilty, helpful buddies, well organised and cheerful boat team. Dolphins, Napoleon Wrasse, super corals, big Morays, turtles, plenty to see... Skipper Mansoor was brilliant and his enthusiasm and kindness (particularly to me as a snorkeller) made every dive trip on his boat an enjoyable experience.
We were the only English people at the resort but that was no problem as the German guys from Dusseldorf and Cologne and the Austrians from the Vorarlberg spoke excellent English and were really good fun! Thanks guys and girls for being so friendly.
Zabargad is remote, the resort is endearingly quirky but the dive centre and hotel staff were so keen to help, and to make sure the holiday was good, that we were really pleased to have gone there. It was relaxing too as the only thing to do is dive/swim/snorkel. Food plentiful and always a variety. So come on you English, take a chance on Orca and Zabargad.

Net terug van een zeer geslaagde vakantie op Zabargad Resort!

Dit resort is absoluut niet vergelijkbaar met de grote resorts voor zonaanbidders in de buurt van Marsa Alam. Daarentegen een klein maar fraai resort met hoofdzakelijk duikers, ver weg van de drukte rondom Marsa Alam. Zabargad is namelijk bijna 'The Last Resort' aan de Egyptische kust.

Na een dagje duiken op het huisrif hebben we vijf dagen lang vanaf de boot gedoken op de prachtige riffen van de Fury Shoals. Naast dolfijnen, haaitjes, schildpadden en doejongs -gespot aan het wateroppervlak- waren hier helaas ook de desastreuze gevolgen van dynamiet visserij zichtbaar.

Tenslotte: Orca Diving heeft z'n zaakjes goed geregeld! Daar kun je gerust mee 'in zee gaan' :-)

Kortom: een aanrader!

..ciao Cinzia, ricorderai il gruppo di tuoi connazionali un pò poco disciplinati che sono stati con voi la settimana di Pasqua!
Volevamo ringraziarti ancora una volta ( appena arrivati al diving, sentire la dolce lingua nazionale è stato solo la prima di una lunga serie di piacevoli sorprese!), e con te Robert e tutti gli altri; siamo stati davvero bene con voi, abbiamo cercato di non farti fare brutta figura con i tuoi colleghi, e speriamo di esserci riusciti.
Ti confesserò, anche a nome degli altri che se mai tornassimo in mar rosso il prossimo anno, non avremmo dubbi su quale sarebbe la nostra meta!
Il diving è ottimo e professionale in ogni sua componente ( sai che noi FIPSAS siamo un pò esigenti... ) a dimostrazione che al di là delle sigle quando si parla lo stesso linguaggio del mare ci si capisce al volo; sarebbe da raccomandare a tanti amici subacquei italiani....ma siamo gelosi!, ce lo teniamo per noi!
Un grazie ancora per essere stati nostri compagni in queste bellissime giornate!

My wife, 16 yr old daughter and I have just returned from two wonderful weeks at the Zabargad Beach Resort diving with Orca Hamata.

I took my Inspiration Vision rebreather and Robert at the Orca Dive Centre arranged for Inspiration cylinders and a bailout 5.7 aluminium cylinder with the Orca Dive Centre at Safaga. These cylinders were filled and ready for me when we arrived on 1 April 2009.

We only have praise for the Orca Dive Centre. Cynzia (who runs the centre with Robert) was very friendly and a great dive guide. The other guides, Marco & Mumdo, were also great with excellent briefings in german and english.

The diveboat, Masry, was large, spacious & newly painted. The captain and his crew were professional, helpful & very friendly. Ali, the cook, prepared a fantastic lunch every day.

When my wife needed an extra wetsuit, the Orca Dive Centre lent her one at no extra cost which was kind of them.

The dive centre had lots of tables and chairs outside so the divers could sit outside for lunch and drinks or meet up after a day on the diveboats.

The hotel provided simple but good accomodation, very good food, very friendly and nice waiters & staff, a large (and hardly used swimming pool).

None of us had any complaints about anything or anyone AND NO HEALTH PROBLEMS AT ALL!

The secret seems to be drinking lots & lots of bottled water, rinsing your ears with fresh water after every dive, not sunbathing too much and staying warm after a dive if the wind was blowing. I also used Dioralyte rehydration satchets, 1 every two days, to replace the minerals and salts lost due to drinking so much water!

We just landed in de cold cloudly netherlands again after a week of fun and pleasure in Hamata. Zabargad is very quit en the food delicious. The diving staff is friendly and helpfull. We have had a great time, snorkling with de dolfins, diving in open sea and at the houserif. Beautiful place to be.

We have had a great time in the Azur hotel,it was excelent,diving with the Orca team was great fun,we like the tight scedules and we were very pleased that the transfers were at the right time.
We like to thank Moira for her nice guiding and wish Marcus the best with the new dive-centre at the Azur hotel,we know he is gonna make it there.

Had a great week diving with you.
Made some beautifull boat dives with the Princess Lila.

Special thanks to Fränzi & Markus for there guidance during the boat trips.
Unfortunatly the wind was a bit to hard to visit al the different reefs but thats for the next time :-)

Good luck with the opening of the dive center in the Wadi Lahami Azur resort.
I think I will be back on 1 condition.... Fränzi, try to get rid of the singer :-)

What a lovely vacation I had . The Zabargad hotel is a hotel only for divers. I met a Dutch couple and every evening we said to eachother: "What a luxery". At dinner you saw the other guest talking with their hand how big the Napoleonfish, the Grouper, the Barracouda and Triggerfish was.
If you where lucky you could find at the houserif the big house barracouda, turtles, badfish, octopus, the spanish danser, murray etc.
It was such a relaxing holiday. You only had to say if you wanted to make a houserif or boatdive and the staff of Orca took care that your equipment was there. With the boat we went to such a beautiful divespots. The diveguide Petzi found a lot of beautiful fishes. My favourite divespot is Shaab Claudio, because of the coral and diversity of fishes
I like to make photo's and with Diedrik it was such a fun diving. He was the guide, looked for special fishes and I took beautiful pictures. The last dive of my holiday was 104 minutes because we had such a good time diving.
I would like to thank the staff of Orca and Zabargad hotel for taking good care of the guests. We will meet again!.

Just got back this morning from Hamata Egypt! Great place to dive and Orca Dive Centre was the perfect place to do my diving. They also gave me a super deal where I achieved my Nitrox certification. Both the House Reef and the boat trips were top draw!

Well done Orca Dive club....... See you again soon!

Een zeer geslaagde duikvakantie, ook voor de gevorderde duiker die al veel rode zee gezien heeft ;-) De organisatie is perfect. Met weinig inspanning geweldige duiken maken. Vooral het feit dat ik zelf mijn box niet hoefde te sjouwen, maakte deze vakantie voor ons perfect. Dat werd allemaal geregeld voor je. Super.

De riffen per boot zijn mooi en het huisrif is zeker de moeite waard. Prachtig dieppaars en roze zachtkoraal is er te vinden en de huisbaracuda was inmens en indrukwekkend.

Juist omdat de transfer 2,5 uur is, vindt je er geen gezinnen met kinderen die klagen over van alles. Ook geen entertainmentteams enzo. Nee, enkel duikers die reuze duiken maken en dus goeie zin hebben. En de duikersbar is ook zeer gezellig.

Ik kan eigenlijk geen minpunten bedenken, want ook de prijzen zijn prima. Doen dus!

We zijn van 20 tot en met 27 maart 2008 in het Zabargad Beach Resort in Hamata geweest. Het was super! Het resort was lekker rustig, de kamers waren netjes, het eten was prima en de service was ook goed.

Bij de duikschool van Orca was alles ook prima geregeld. De staff was behulpzaam en vriendelijk, de huuruitrusting was van een goede kwaliteit en de duiken waren super! De gids heeft ons hele mooie plekjes laten zien. Bedankt Kurt!
